Located opposite the Bay of
Cannes and the
Massif de l’Esterel, the
Lérins islands are a natural and cultural heritage that just has to be visited during a stay in
Cannes! A few minutes away by boat, why not visit these two unusual sites:
- Saint Marguerite island, the bigger of the 2 islands, is an exceptional location for a lazy, relaxing break. The scents of its lush vegetation will take you away from it all, only a few kilometres from Cannes’ lively centre. At Fort Royal you can visit the marine museum, which is a great opportunity to discover nature’s treasures.
- As for Saint-Honorat island, it has the same natural setting. At its medieval abbey, the community of monks welcome you in absolute silence. It is a unique experience.
